Merry Christmas!

The song "to us a Child of Hope is born, to us a Son is given..." is going through my head.
What would we be without hope?  When I see the expressions on my childs innocent faces I remember the hope that filled my heart as a child.
Gradually the trials in life started slapping me in the face trying  to steal away my hope.
Some days it sure worked, I've had my days of feeling hopeless.  More so than not, but this time of year I am reminded of the hope of Heaven.
You know with all the stink about not saying "merry Christmas"  , or if you watch the news at all you soon realize that not everyone has the same point of view as you do.  That is okay!  We are free to believe what we want.

I choose to cling to the hope that Jesus came to this earth as a baby, died on the cross for my imperfections and sins and was raised to life again, Giving us HOPE!

Without that hope I don't know why I'd want to go on with life.
Life is Hard!  It is full of hurt and pain.  Conflicts and fighting, it makes me sick in my stomach.

An innocent child has hope!  Until life starts to hurt too much....

I don't know about you, but through my journey I've clung to the HOPE I've found in Jesus!
Life is such a journey.  I'm sure glad that God doesn't expect us to be perfect. To have it all together.
To understand everything,   We'd never make it.  Through God's love and forgiveness,  I am drawn to Him.  May you find Hope in Him this Christmas season.

"He will wipe every tear from their eyes.  There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away." Revelations 21:4

Merry Christmas!

Just wanted to wish you all a merry Christmas!
We were at home today and opened presents together.  Trevor played with his tool set from the minute he open it till he fell asleep tonight.
Dad and Dru came over for supper.  Tomorrow we are going to drive out to Stormer Lake for lunch with the Miller Family.
I really enjoyed our Yutzy Family here this past weekend.  Today I crashed, after a busy last month with our trip, coming home to no water, then preparing for this past week.  Now I can unwind a bit!  Have a great day!

Trevor's Two! And Tia's 7!

Well we are back from our trip and we do have water now!!  I'm finally getting caught up on putting laundry away from being backed up from the trip and no water.  Dru even did some wash for me.  I guess laundry is just one of those never ending jobs.
We celebrated Trevor's second Birthday on November 27th.  He is really starting to talk lots. It is so fun to see him grow and change.  I see the most change in him since Dylan's born.  He has really begun being gentle with him and saying in a sweet sing song voice "Hi Dylan"  and kisses him on the cheek now instead of bite!!
We just celebrated Tia's 7th birthday on Saturday.  I don't have those down loaded yet, I'll share them later. I think she really enjoyed it.  Jeff and I took her out for lunch.  something she has been asking for .  Grandpa and Grandma kept the others for us.  I think we'd like to make that a tradition!! We enjoyed that one on one time with her too!
I'm in the process of getting ready for the big shabang at our house this weekend.  All the Yutzy/Slaubaugh family is coming. (Except Matthew's)  Jeff got the carpet on the steps laid.  He is doing the basement tomorrow!! Yeah the carpet came in!! It will be so much cleaner down there.   He is looking forward to some time around the house.  He has been so busy since we got back.  Christmas tree finally made it up.  Cookies are made, now wrap some presents and hopefully sit back and relax!  (If that's possible when you have four little ones?)
Well, hope you all have a wonderful Christmas season!  Enjoy each moment!
Love ya!

Okay Ladies (or men)

I am starting to think about Christmas, Yes Christmas!! You know for me it's like starting to get ready to go an hour early so you're not late and can enjoy the process. Like this morning. We were a 20 minutes early at the pool for swimming lessons! Amazing for me!
Anyway, in the process of planning I was wondering if anyone has any healthy snack recipes to share this year. I know Christmas is a time when we all think about cookies and candy, but I really want to strive to eat healthier. You know, cut the sugar and trans fat. Any ideas?

Pictures from Holiday Inn

If you want to see pictures from our Yutzy family trip to the Holiday Inn, my sister in law Jenni posted some really good ones on her blog. There's one of My handsome hubby, and Trevor in the life jacket. Then Alabama and her favoritest cousin Logan! They play together like to peas in a pod! Then there's Tia and her two cousins, Caleb and Emily in the little car.
I guess today I'm going to try to get to the house to clean. The guys moved the piano over last night. Elise and Derek blessed us last night by making pizza and joining us for the evening. And Josiah and Anne-Jisca also blessed us with a yummy pot of soup and grilled cheese sandwich.
Also, my sister Amy had her baby!! Adam Richard! That is her third child. Ausin, Abby and Adam! Welcome baby Adam!!
Jenni's blog is www.boys-r-us.blogspot.com or you can click on any of her comments on my blog and it will take you there.

Christmas at our House!

Well, everyone survived Christmas, Kittens and children!! This morning Trevor grabbed one they both gave a good squeal! The got each other good! We had a nice weekend. We were home all weekend. Dad and Dru came over. Derek's and Mike's and Patrick stopped by. It's back to work on the house today. Jeff went early this morning. We are going to stain and varnish all week! We didn't get the kitchen. We had it down to the last minute! So I guess Ivan Ramer is going to help Jeff build some rustic cabinets. Well we have lots of staining ahead of us, pray for energy and strength and patience to do all that needs done in the next month! I'm ready to move!

A Christmas tree!

Well we have a Christmas tree and lights after all! Friends are such a blessing!! We weren't planning on decorating much because almost everything is packed. Josiah and Anne-Jisca knew that Jeff was so busy, too busy to even think about a tree, so they went out and cut one for us!
We set it up last night and I strung the lights. It is so nice to have them, I love waking up at night to the lights shinning. Thanks Meyers for being a special blessing to us!! Never under estimate the power of little acts of kindness. You never know what will bless others.

Last Christmas

Here is a cute picture from last year. My good friend Melissa and Emma and baby Trevor!! Now they are both running around!!
Tonight Yvonne and Marvin came and brought supper. It was nice to visit with them. I showed Elise and Baby Scotty the paint today. Jenni watched my 3 while I did some much needed shopping and bill paying. Dad and Dru have the garage here just about full. The flooring came in. The pine should be here by the weekend! It is getting closer!! It seems bare not having a Christmas tree. We are getting the children two little kittens for Christmas this year. We are picking them up on Christmas eve. I think I'm as excited as they will be!! It's been years since I've had cat!!
Well, I better go enjoy some time with Jeff now that the kids are asleep! Seems like we just pass each other anymore!! Good night!

A day to rest!

Wow, I can't believe it is December!! Getting closer to moving into the new house. I painted the basement, tomorrow I'm going to paint the kitchen and the mainfloor hallways and bath, whatever gets done!! I am excited to try the Burgundy Wine out. I went with a shade redder than the Choco Eclair. The basement looks great, I think. Jeff likes it. Yesterday I unloaded the trailer load into the basement guest room. The house here is pretty bare. I put a few Christmas decorations up, the manger scene etc. It is amazing how peaceful it is with only the necessities in the house!! I want to live like that!! Simplistic!! Then I can spend time with the kids, and on the important things in life. It is amazing how possesions take up our time. Cleaning and putting it away. Uggh!! Anyway, we have been focused on the house and our family for the past 3 months. I can't wait to move in and start hosting people again. Jeff has been going into the house early!! Then working late.
He is a hardworker. Pray for our sanity during this crazy time in our life!
I know it is all worth it in the end. The house is for the Lord and He will provide our needs. We couldn't and wouldn't do it if it wasn't His idea!! Well, I smell my lunch cooking. Jeff is such a blessing. Sundays he makes us breakfast and he made us lunch. What a great guy I married. !! I guess we are going over to the house, make sure the fire is burning. Have a great day and be refreshed in the Lord!

New Table

I had an exciting day, after Tia and I did school, we all had lunch and went for a drive to Red Lake where the Mission food truck was arriving from Ehprata, PA. My mom gave us my parents original Dining room table that they had since I was little. It is beautiful!! She also gave me Wanda and my children's table and chair that we had since we were 3 or so.
Wanda bought me a whole bunch of chocolates for Christmas, and pretzels and chips. It was fun to open all those boxes from "home"
I think this will be our last week of school until after Christmas. We'll take a break to pack and move.
I'm really enjoying this blogging more than I thought I would. I find it a great way to relax. It is just like reading a letter from a friend, when I take the time to go to everyone else's blogs. Thanks for the comments, they are fun to read.
Have a great sleep!! Good night
